TREE SPONSORSHIP

With help from Lewisham Council, a scheme has been put in place that gives individuals and businesses an option to privately sponsor trees.  This gives you, your business, your school or your street a way to replace dead trees or plant new ones without having to rely on Council funding.

At the end of each year, Lewisham Council will develop a plan for the planting of new trees based on individual sponsorship requests.  As custodians of public spaces, they have partnered with local professionals and experts to help in the planting and maintenance of these trees.

New tree planting can only be considered where there are no significant utility or other underground cables, pipes or other obstructions in place and is subject to Lewisham Council approval.

Planting takes place between October and February and so any interest in sponsorship should be received before the end of September to be considered for the following year.
